Safari Overview

4 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari is a perfect get away for  game viewing, birding, nature walks and boat cruise at Lake Mburo National Park.  This attractive park of rolling hills and open grassy valleys interspersed with thickets woodlands and rich wetlands is the only place in Uganda where Impala still occur and is the best place to see large herds of  Elands (African’s largest Antelopes). It is one of the only two Ugandan National Parks where Burchell’s Zebras are found and where a guided game walk is possible. In addition,  Kibale National park on ther other hand gives an encounter with  man’s closest relatives, it has the most chimpanzees in Uganda and Africa as a whole, other primates include the Black and White Colobus Monkeys, The nearby community-runs Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary offers birders an explosive adventure with a bird list of 335spiecies

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by our safari guide who will transfer you to Kampala to a hotel booked for you. In case you have had an early flight to Uganda, you will be taken on a brief tour of the city of Kampala. Next day the Lake Mburo National Park Safari adventure begins.

Day 2: Travel to Lake Mburo National Park

Wakeup  to an early warming  breakfast, at exactly 7:00am our tour guide/driver will be at your hotel to brief you about the exciting  travel plan, there-after embark on a 4hours drive approximately 253km to Lake Mburo National park , you  shall have a stop-over at the equator monument at Kayabwe located along Masaka-Kampala highway ,here you can checkout the curio shops selling African wear, have an experience of  stepping into both the south and northern hemispheres at this stop. Later  proceed to Lake Mburo National park, being the west the land of cattle keepers, expect to see the famous long horned cattle and other livestock through Sanga, proceed to accommodation Mihingo Lodge luxury from here our lunch will be served after a relaxation afternoon in the evening we shall go for horse riding only offered at Mihingo Lodge expect to lot’s the Cape Buffalos, the Impalas, Zebras rich birdlife in this open savanna the activity lasts for 3hours after retreat for dinner and accommodation Mihingo Lodge Luxury. Day 3: Travel to Kibale National Park

After an early morning breakfast at  7:00am, you  shall checkout of the accommodation with parked lunch for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo as a tour-guide on the boat takes you the history of its existence, expect to see life lots of aquatic life Hippos, Crocodiles other wildlife drawing near the famous salt leak lots of birdlife as well as fishermen drawing their nets in the middle of the Lake the cruise, activity  takes around 3hours after this thunderous experience, drive out of the park through Mbarara where you  shall have a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre, here you will  about Ankole culture, checkout the museum as well as the curio shop, proceeding  to the road ,you will be  driven to Kibale National park 136km about 4hours drive reaching late evening check-in to accommodation for dinner and overnight stay

Day 4 Travel back to Kampala

Rising to the sound of Nature, you will  have a warming  morning breakfast then you  will be allocated into groups of 5 to 8people depending on the number of guides,  briefed then head  to the forest for chimp trekking, Kibale has the most number of chimpanzees in Uganda and Africa as a whole with a number of 1450chimpanzees and 13 other primate species like the Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Grey-Cheeked Mangobey as we also learn about the common historic tree species in the forest and butterfly life, the activity takes around 4 to 3hours after an encounter with these man’s closest relatives, you  shall disembark from the forest to our accommodation, checkout with parked breakfast head to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary which offers birders an impressive list of 335 bird species as well as visiting the Bigodi community this will take us one hour  involvement there after emback on our journey back to Kampala reaching late evening transfer to your hotel
