Safari overview
5 Days Primate and wildlife safari takes you to Lake Mburo National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, and Queen Elizabeth National park. Lake Mburo National Park is small compared to many East African parks but it is home to a surprising diversity of wildlife with 69 mammal species and 332 bird species. A number of the park’s herbivores are rarely, if at all, found elsewhere in Uganda. Lake Mburo is the only park that contains impalas and the only one in western Uganda with Burchell’s zebra and elands.
The Eclipse Monument located in Biharwe hill, the eclipse is thought to have occurred in the year 1520. Located in the Biharwe neighborhood in the town of Mbarara, the 1520 Eclipse Monument was erected in 2014 near the Igongo Cultural Center & Country Hotel. The Igongo Centre, which was also refurbished in an effort to attract tourism to the area
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park (where Gold meets Silver), this small park covering just 38sq km, enjoys a magnificent setting on the northern slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes. Two rare primates, Mountain Gorillas and Golden Monkeys can be tracked and one can climb the dormant Volcanoes to stand simultaneously on the border of Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the park offers a unique Batwa experience with their cultural and traditional caves of their kings completed with their cultural dances in the caves
The Safari Ends with Queen Elizabeth National park famous for its Tree climbing Lions and is blessed with an assortment of crater Lakes, forest gorges, savannah plains, swamps, the beautiful Kazinga Channel home to abundance of wildlife. The park also has the highest number of birds and can offer Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park via Mpanga forest reserve
Today after your early morning breakfast at exactly 6:00am your journey to western Uganda begins with a visit to Mpanga forest for Birding and Nature walk experience located 37km along Masaka-Mbarara highway, the forest has an impressive number of wildlife like Butterflies, moth, rich birdlife, vervet monkeys you will have a beautiful walk under the cool forest canopies as you observe various wildlife from hire you will continue to Kiruhura district for Lake Mburo National reaching our accommodation in the afternoon later in the evening you can opt for a game drive a network of game tracks explores the eastern hinterland of Lake Mburo, providing the chance to see a variety of savannah animals like Zebras,Impalas,Topi,Buffalos,Bush Bucks, warthogs and a wide range of birdlife like colorful Kingfishers, magnificent Fish Eagles and Hammerkops with their enormous nests. after return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Nature walks in Mburo and Eclipse monument in Biharwe transfer to Kisoro
After your early morning breakfast you will set out for nature walk, guided walks explore the park around Rwonyo, culminating in a visit to a natural salt lake where wildlife like Burchell’s zebra and elands, Bush bucks, Impalas and rich birdlife can be viewed from a timber observation platform the walk will take 2-3hours after embark our journey to southwestern Uganda with a stop at Biharwe Eclipse monument the hike takes 45minutes to reach the top, The Biharwe monument in was erected on Biharwe Hill in commemoration of the “Biharwe Eclipse” which was dated by astronomers and historians to have taken place in the year 1520 AD you can the top gives you an aerial view of Lake Mburo and Mbarara town after taking photographs you will return, you can opt to checkout Igongo cultural Centre and the museum after your hike which contains rich history of the western culture thereafter start your long 5hours drive to Kisoro approximately 171km from Lake Mburo National park transverse scenic views of Ntungamo, through hills of Kabale and finally to Kisoro with an en-route lunch in Kabale town reaching our accommodation later in the evening

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community walk
After your early morning breakfast at exactly 6:00am you will transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park through Ntebeko,the main entrance to Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park 14km from Kisoro town at the end of the road with some steep and rocky sections you will set out for Gorilla trekking The trekking starts from Ntebeko entrance gate and lasts for 2-4 hours. The maximum time allowed to spend with the gorillas is one-hour Gorilla tracking at the Park will enable you interact with the Nyakagezi gorilla family, the only gorilla group found in this park. after retreat to the lodge for Lunch and afternoon relaxation later in the evening you can opt for community walk of Batwa, the trail introduces you to the magic of their ancient home and their cultural heritage through demonstrating their hunting skills, making bamboo cups, pointing out medicinal plants and gathering honey, you will also be taken to the sacred Garama cave a former refuge for Batwa where they perform cultural ceremonies to commemorate that ancient period after this wonderful experience retreat to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

After you early morning breakfast you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park 4hours journey approximately 167km from Kisoro transverse through the countryside of Kabale hilly area connecting us to Bushenyi and finally to the park reaching your accommodation in Lunch time settle in for Lunch later in the afternoon you can opt to do Launch cruise along the Kazinga channel, the channel offers an impressive range of wildlife like Hippos and crocodiles inclusive of Elephants, Buffalos and wide range of birds that dwell near this channel the launch lasts from 2 to 3hours after return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay
